I haven’t done one of these flip through posts in a while. My journal has evolved a bit since the last post and I’m excited to show you what I’m using now. Things are definitely more streamline and simplified. It’s no use using a bullet journal if it’s only complicating your life, so by reviewing what worked this month and what didn’t, you can focus on what enhances your life and get rid of the clutter, even in your journal!Continue reading
Have you been experiencing itching, rashes or hives since changing your diet? Have you had no luck in identifying an allergen or trigger despite elimination diets and eating clean? If you have recently switched to a low carb diet, it is very possible that you are experiencing an allergic reaction, though you might not be allergic to individual items, it might be a little more complicated than that.
Something I recently discovered, which surprised me, is that people can be histamine intolerant. Many people aren't aware that histamine is present on all our food, even the fresh, natural produce and meat you buy from your local supermarket. Not only can ingredients contain histamine, but some liberate histamine already present in the body.
Histamine is a compound that is produced by our bodies as well as by the bacteria that grows on our food as it ages. It is released when there is inflammation or an allergen introduced to the body. It has healing properties, but some people are sensitive to it. Anybody who has ever suffered from seasonal allergies will know what that feels like.
If you are anything like me, you collect lovely journals and have a stack of them just waiting to be used. You never know when the need will arise to use a notebook, but when that moment comes, you'll be ready!
I've started and restarted many of them. Giving up on one purpose and then assigning another a few months later. I'm not good at being consistent with things, I seem to have trouble with religiously sitting down with a journal to write thoughts, feelings or prayers. And the same thing applies to my art journals.
The only journal I have had success in maintaining over extended periods of time is the bullet journal. I believe this is because of the way my bujo was designed: by me, as needed, and it's super flexible.
Have you ever tried using a bullet journal?
Don't you just love the flexibility of the Bullet Journal system? I keep changing it up. Not only every month, but even weekly sometimes! It's great that the pages are blank and I can create whatever layout and pages I need for the season I'm in. Here's a walk through my September setup.
At last the saga of the tiny white bugs is over! The mites seem to be gone after 2 weeks of intense cleaning and hoovering and constantly examining every nook and cranny of the house to make sure they hadn't spread elsewhere and zapping every single mite we found!
If you don't know the story about my bug infestation, you can read about it in an earlier post, here.
To say I am now paranoid about creepy crawlies is an understatement. They have really messed with my head. I can't stop staring at every speck of dust to make sure it doesn't move!
