2026 The Great Reset

It’s a new year and with it comes a new beginning! A lot has happened since the last time I updated this website, and my life is dramatically different now. There have been lots of lovely positive changes, as well as scatterings of pain, health scares and heartache. I even moved house twice! But as always, I’m joyful and hopeful and excited about the future.

A New Beginning In A New Land

This year started off with a huge move, I’m in a new country and everything is different here. I love it though. I’ve moved countries various times in my life, new places, new languages, new cultures, new climates, new beginnings. It’s not something I’m scared of doing. I have always found those challenges exciting.

But hopefully I am now in my forever home and can get fully settled. As I’ve got older, I’ve definitely become more of a homebody and really love the idea of staying in once place long term.

We knew the previous place was temporary, but we ended up staying way longer than we had initially planned to. This last move was delayed several times, but in the end I’m sure it happened when it was supposed to and in the meantime I got to spend more time with family over there.

A Digital Journal

So, along with my new beginning in real life, I am also relaunching this website as a sort of digital journal. I really miss writing and connecting with everyone online.

I have family and friends all around the globe too, so this is also a great way to keep everyone updated. Whether they actually read these ramblings is a completely other story, but that’s okay. I enjoy writing anyway.

Why I’m Resetting This Website

ChronicallyHopeful.com has had a few makeovers through the years, what started out as a health and wellness journal, became an advocacy space and then after a couple of hosting changes, theme changes and other behind the scenes admin issues, the whole thing broke!

I lost loads of content. Every single image is gone, links were broken and all that remained was badly formatted blocks of text. So I took everything offline and am now starting over.

What Happens To All The Old Content?

I plan to revive old content as and when I have the desire, energy and mental capacity to do so, but I won’t make any promises, since it will require so much time and effort to piece together all the old posts and pages. It will happen, slowly, with time.

I know which pages had the most visitors and were most helpful to my readers. I received many emails as well as comments about some of my posts. So I will likely restore those pages first. If anybody contacts me with specific requests, I will try to prioritise reviving the requested pages too.

As mentioned previously, I’m planning to create a digital journal here. I have so many hobbies and interests and I enjoy talking about them.

There will likely be a wide array of topics covered, the main ones being:

  • Garden – what I’m growing through the seasons, my harvests and the critters that stop by.
  • Creative Projects – including drawing, painting, lettering and calligraphy, crochet and journaling.
  • Gaming – what I’m enjoying and maybe some record keeping for future reference, including screenshots of gameplay or sceneries and progress updates.
  • Homelife – other hobbies and interests that don’t fall into the above categories. Like reading and cooking, etc

As well as keeping the old health and wellness categories that will reappear as older content is revived over time.

I hope this all sounds interesting to you and you’ll stick around for a while and maybe we can have a chat in the comments. I look forward to hearing your thoughts.
